Domestic cricket’s summer of stars opens in cold reality of county game

Gloucestershire’s Gareth Roderick, Yorkshire’s Andrew Gale and Lancashire’s Steven Croft

Kolkata was the focus of attention at the end of last week. And now we move to freeze Chester Le Street and Chelmsford. It was easy to leave India with optimism. The T20 World Cup delivered one way or another live, cricket convincing. There was a melodrama, elation and despair on a par with a lot of games, including the final with England, the West Indies, and go to the wire. This, surely, was the scene of an inspiration.
Upon his return to the UK and this was tempered optimism. Of course, that cricket fans were aware of the exploits of England but how much was actually caught a glimpse of them? The nation's non-involvement There was not even half an hour of light tucked away somewhere on the free-to-air TV. There was some inspirational stuff being in Kolkata and Mumbai, but in the home and how much of the next generation of sportsmen and women may have noticed that?

A similar cricket problem in 2016, and the summer European Championship football and the Olympic Games. There is much to admire and many who can inspire in cricket English at the moment. Side for one day under Owen Morgan exciting and unexpected. His test team in the last 12 months won the ashes and beat South Africa away from home. Joe Root has evolved into one of the best tennis on the planet; we may witness one of the greatest flourishing of England, who can stand side by side with the Yorkshire giants of the past.
Jos Buttler in cricket one day and were gasping behind Taunton or Old Trafford now. In Mumbai and Melbourne, they marvel at the power of beating him. Ben Stokes demanding our attention, partly because we do not know any of the two crooks he is going to meet. In fact he is fully capable to face all of them within 15 minutes. With the red ball, Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad to continue a partnership with unprecedented productivity.
After a series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan would do well to divert attention from France and Rio. It will be newshounds keeping an eye on Pakistan when it arrives in late June because of the controversy of the last two rounds (the abandoned match at the Oval in 2006, a match-stained spot reform in Lourdes in 2010) and the emergence of Mohammad Amir will be closely monitored.
England in the uncomfortable position of being the favorite to win against both teams in all formats. But my guess is a small number of seats are still available for the first test against Sri Lanka in Hedyngle, which starts on May 19.
Of course there are the followers of cricket there, and more numerous than is often who will on Sunday pay attention to the fall of each wicket and reindeer of all Uttar frozen knee. Domestic season is still ongoing.
A further change is afoot. Domestic cricket structure changed again greater than that of any major sport quickly and this is a reflection of the instability in the country. This represents a season is something of an introduction. Championship sides will be lowered, but only one promotion from the second division to enable first-class eight-team second division 10 team in 2017 and manages the T20 competition in most parts of the summer season, but will be in the coming year blocks.
It has taken some time but lives in Serie A now by the provinces, who are playing on the test - with the exception of Somerset basis. In the second division of Glamorgan League is the only party with a test place. Finally - and depression to some extent - I found the money her voice even though there are still romantics out there who are dreaming that the Leicestershire can simulate a football on the road. It is routine now that is a good player stuck in the second division and is seeking to move to a larger - and not just a club for financial reasons.
There is a big change and one of the conditions to play in the tournament, which counts toss. Leader can now choose to visit the pot if they so wish. The idea stems from the quality of the wicket prepared last summer, especially in the second division. There was a lot of friendly Khayat courts, resulting in shorter games and a band of accurate medium pacers flattered their figures. Hope is better for children's playgrounds; the danger is that there will be rather thinner stadiums as groundsmen and leaders play safe.
So we return. At various times during the summer - and often in the match T20 - it will be possible to watch Darren Sammy, Dwayne Bravo and Chris Gayle from the side of the West Indies victorious last week, in addition to Kane Williamson, Brendon McCullum, Ross Taylor, Adam Milne, Luke Ronchi and Mitchell Santner of New Zealand, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka, Wahab Riaz and Shahid Afridi of Pakistan, but do not ask me exactly where and when.
Also on view - and you will not have to search deep to find out - there will be the likes of Peter Trego, Chris Reed, Jack Shantry, Chris Rushworth, Jack Brooks and Rob Key, who may be more beloved by diehard supporters. Sussex, as well as in Luke Wright and Andrew Gale Yorkshire, the captains of two of their sides are likely to lead to higher divisions each.
