Bangladesh cricketer Shahadat Hossain, charged with torturing 11-year-old housemaid, begs for forgiveness

 Bangladeshi cricketer facing 14 years in prison for torturing his 11-year-old housemaid has for his "mistake", apologized and Cricket are allowed to play again asked.

Shahadat Hossain, who has played 38 Tests and 51 one day internationals, is free on bail, but, along with his wife Jasmine Jahan Nritto Shahadat, faces trial by alleged horrific abuse of the girl, Mahfuza Akhter Happy.

The girl was late last year on a road discovered injury with a broken leg, a black eye and burns suffer.
"I have unauthorized incident and I regret that i was involved " Hossain, 29, said in a statement in Bengali.
"For the sake of cricket and my existence, I want to return cricket. I appeal to the nation, the BCB [Bangladesh Cricket Board] to allow me to return to cricket and correct my mistake. I apologize for my crime."

The girl claimed to the police that she, during a year had for the couple they had beaten, and tortured her.

Hossain spent two months in prison after he was located and ordered the police in October as gift to stand trial. He has previously denied the allegations.
