Allan Donald has been confirmed as Australia's bowling coach for their tour of Sri Lanka. The assignment, a temporary for now, has been confirmed by Cricket Australia on Thursday. Donald replaced Craig McDermott, who resigned from the role after the World T20 in India earlier this year.

Australia is a tri-series in the Caribbean involved the West Indies and South Africa, but Western Australia bowling coach Adam Griffith will then be responsible play.

Donald is then the Aussies come for three Tests, five one-day internationals and two T20s to be played for a number of July to September.

"I'm really excited about the new challenge," Donald said in an interview on Cricket Australia website. "As Boof [coach Darren Lehmann] asked me that, I expect not. For me as an international cricketer plays against Australia, there was a lot of respect for the way they played their cricket."

Although the assignment is temporary for now, Donald was quoted by Sport24 saying he would not fight for a long-term deal.

If you are the cynical belief then you might suggest that the Tweet Donald ban in response to Fikile Mbalula decision four of South Africa's sports associations - rugby, cricket, netball and athletics - from tendering global tournaments hosts suddenly a bit looking embarrassed.

Donald Tweeted: "Rugby, Cricket and Netball forbidden says Sports Minister Fantastic can sanction us we are !!" (sic!).

Although that is exactly what South Africa has done, the Tweet has not as good in some corners of the Internet will be with some perception of Donald anti-transformation go and, of course, the South Africans, the movement to Australia anti-transformation.

But real life is nothing like perceptions on the Internet and there is something more to consider with Donald's departure. While the former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie Cricket Australia's number remains one goal, it could of his stint with Yorkshire curious to be very difficult, and unless something to be drastic changes, at the end Donald could very well take a full-time job.

While Donald its ups and downs, such as South Africa's bowling coach, had the experience of 72 Tests and 164 one-day internationals on a career that is two decades nothing to be sneezed at. Sure, Cricket has evolved and progressed much since then, but former players add immense value to formal coaching structures, especially when it comes to develop player's semiprofessional and professional franchise levels.

But these experienced players and coaches have to earn their livelihood, too, and while rugby to leave foreign coin in the world to make up in arms over the players frequently, little taken is lost on the coach for the same reason, and as the Rand continues to weaken, this is unlikely to change any time soon. The lure of foreign exchange is just too strong to turn to coach down.

This small puzzle highlights the need for South Africa to find a way to invent its domestic T20 competition in a way new, where they can compete with other countries, where the charm of the dollar is strong. The current T20 competition is too often a footnote on the annual calendar and Cricket South Africa has been struggling to find a way to use the competition to its full potential. even more important, the need for this tournament its first event and revenue spinner for franchise since the abolition of the T20 Champions League has become.

T20 Cricket is huge business. The Indian Premier League (IPL), for example, claims that it is $ 182-million India's gross domestic product, University of the West Indies, has contributed in 2015 investigations of Mona School of Business and Management (msbm) found that the 2013 Caribbean Premier League ( CPLT20) tournament generated a combined effect of $ 105.6 million in the region.

Then there is the Big Bash, perhaps the most successful of all history mushrooming T20 League. What began as a fairly low-profile event, has for its franchise in an economic power boomed. A move by Cricket Australia to make competition the family focused (discounts on family tickets, free zones alcohol, etc.) saw Boom ticket sales. Before the end of this season, average attendance increased by 22% with seven of the eight teams to break their domestic record attendance. TV ratings also increased and so did the trade turnover increased by 44% this season.

Much of this success has with matches broadcast on free-to-air networks, something South Africa could learn to do from. Only local international games are currently free-to-air in the country, which means to reach their audience is very limited. Although it is not easy every South African can travel to the stadiums, most have access to a TV with free-to-air channels. Tapping into this audience is the potential reach of South Africa T20 competition has drastically increased, it is valuable to make sponsors, means more money for a franchise that, in theory, to translate more money should in the franchise system and the development of players and coaches pumped.

While the lure of an international team coaching will always be strong, it is a myth that it is the ultimate goal for all. The same Gillespie Australia are thought targeting is perhaps the best example of how influential a coach can be on young players. Gillespie rebuffed rumors that Australia after him earlier this week, but it would be foolish to assume that he did not. On the Australian agenda

His success in Yorkshire has been profound since the takeover he monitors the transitions of players like Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow in 2011 on the site of the Division Two of the County Championship for the first division title in three years and has - and he doesn 't want to stop.

"There is still a lot to Yorkshire to do, and I just want to help to focus this team, win cricket matches. They do not rule out opportunities in the future. It is, if you feel like you in a difference can do any job that comes "available he told his county's website.

England County Cricket does on his side, the pound sterling, but if CSA find a way the mother developing a tempting offer T20 for local and international investors to crack, there is no reason that it should not promote the same culture. DM
