Pawan Negi (Delhi Daredevils)
Just before half time the IPL 2016 here the price tags is a view of the big disappointments of the season to keep, they brought sales in mind, in February of the player.
Negi, the 23-year-old spin-bowling allrounder from Delhi, the headlines on the player auction for Delhi Daredevils him crore snapped up by a strike price of 30 lakh for a whopping Rs 8.5. At the time he had not played an international match, but had been called the day before to the squad for the Asia Cup and ICC World Twenty20. Of course, expectations rose from that date. Cut to the IPL and Negi thoroughly disappointing.
In five games he has just rolled three times - only once over an over in a game - without slipping. His figures are five overs, 55 runs. In the batting order Negi slotted in at number 4 (once), 6 (twice) and 7 (again) and made 32 runs with a highest score of 11. The most expensive Indian players at the auction, surpassing the likes of Yuvraj Singh and Mohit Sharma was previously a flop.
Carlos Brathwaite (Delhi Daredevils)
At the auction, the selection of 27-year-old Braithwate - with 307 runs and 33 wickets from 37 T20 games at the time - for 14 times its reserve price was surprising. Daredevils had serious Waging KKR averted, to seal the deal at 4.2 crore and a few moments later, the West Indian allrounder tweeted a smiley face, which found more retweets. If Brathwaite landed in Delhi Daredevils to connect on 4 April he was the talk of the cricketing world for four consecutive sixes from England Ben Stokes hits West Indies the World Twenty20 in Eden Gardens to win. However, this form has not been replicated in the IPL. In three games Brathwaite once batted, scored six runs. With the ball, he has a wickets at 60 with an economy rate of 7.50.
Jos Buttler (Mumbai Indians)
Mumbai largest spending this year was big bang England wicketkeeper-batsman Buttler (3.8 crore), but the returns do not add up. In six games, Buttler averages 17:42 with a strike-rate of 137.07. His debut innings was a duck, followed by scores of 41, 16, 11, 28, 2 and 24. He has to keep not wickets regularly, which continues his continued selection somewhat puzzling. Mumbai have the opportunity with Corey Anderson in the middle to view large pop-rounder that offers a genuine wicket-recording option.

Deepak Hooda (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Hooda, the young Baroda allrounder, rose from his base price of 10 lakes to a mammoth 4.2 crore at the auction of the capped player set. He has all six SRH games played, batting five for 35 runs at 8.75, a reinforced by an unbeaten 17 from nine balls average in the first victory of the franchise. Nestled between the international experience of David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan and Eoin Morgan over him and Naman Ojha, Moises Henriques and Aditya Tare behind, the 21-year-old Hooda was not yet in a position for SRH to channel his obvious potential in large contributions. With the ball, his off spin has brought in seven overs in an economy of 7.42 one wicket.
Praveen Kumar (Gujarat Lions)
One purchased from two IPL participant, Rajkot Gujarat-based Lions Praveen to give a solid Indian presence for R3.5 as part of a movement crore their team. In six games, the former India swing bowler unmanaged wickets in 14 overs and has runs a cashed in 7.04 above. In the last game - a one-run win over Daredevils - Praveen had exceptional figures of 0/13 from four overs, which played a major role in an exciting result. The excursion reduces its overall economic rate from 8.14 to 7.04, but the lack of wickets from six matches will rankle.
Kyle Abbott (Kings XI Punjab)
At the auction, strengthened their bowling KXIP by robust South African fast bowler Abbott receives for Rs 2.1 crore, significantly more than his base price of 30 lakh. In three games, he has, however, managed a wicket while 104 runs in ten overs conceding. Known to be a quick death overs bowler, Abbott has not been bowled over 17 in every game; perhaps 14 in the 17th goal against Rising Pune Giants and 13 in the 17 comparison Kolkata Knight Riders has something with it. After this poor run of form, made way for Abbott Mitchell Johnson in KXIP recent game against Mumbai.
