PCB to formally invite West Indies to tour Pakistan

Pakistan plans Cricket Board (PCB) formally invited the West Indies to play matches in Pakistan of a series originally scheduled between September and October in the United Arab Emirates.

"We have had verbal conversations with them and wait and monitor the situation in the improvement of the security situation in Pakistan," said an official at the Council, quoted by the Press Trust of India.

"If the situation remains stable and improving, officially we invite them to play a couple of games on a limited series of UAE-based in Pakistan." It is scheduled Western Islands of India and Pakistan to play two tests, five days one and two T20I matches in the UAE.

It is said PCB request the assistance of two players of the Indian cricket west of the former Sir Vivian Richards and Brian Lara, to persuade India Cricket Bank Council (WICB) to agree and play in Pakistan.Richards was a mentor team to Quetta Gladiators in the recently held in Pakistan Premier League (Polish), in while Lara visited Pakistan to the task of the media during the PCB world T20.The recently suffered a setback when a planned tour by the Afghanistan cricket team between April and May materialize after a terrorist attack in Lahore failed.
