John Harnden AM joins Cricket Australia's Board of Directors
John Harden AM joins Cricket Australia (CA) nine-person board of directors, filling the vacancy by John Bannon AO, who passed away in December 2015, said in a statement on Friday (April 15) points.
Subscribe Harnden in many sporting events in Australia, previously served as executive director of the Cricket World Cup International Criminal Court in 2015, wearing the same maximum in 2006 at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games, which he was awarded the Order of Australia in 2007 for services to sport .
He also served as executive director of the South Australian Cricket Union (South and Central America), which extends from 2010 and 2012.
"We are delighted to welcome one of the moderators of elite sports in Australia Australia Cricket Board," said David Peever, head of Cricket Australia on the appointment. "John brings a large amount of depth and experience to the role, and is no stranger to cricket and having successfully led the ICC Cricket World Cup, the International Criminal Court in 2015, which was hosted jointly by Australia and New Zealand.
"Apart from the outstanding works his qualifications and experience, John has a real passion for the development of the game and knowing the value will contribute significantly as we seek to achieve our vision of being Australia's favorite sport and sport for all Australians," he added.
