Inzamam-ul-Haq appointed Pakistan chief selector

Inzamam-ul-Haq has been appointed Pakistan chief selector. Inzamam, former captain of Pakistan, was the first coach of Afghanistan since October 2015, and was initially hired by the Board of Cricket Afghanistan until December 2016. But the head of ACB Shafiq Stanikzai, on Saturday, said they were ready to release .
This will be the first time Inzamam as a selector, even though he had worked with the Pakistan team before. He was their batting consultant for a brief period in 2012-13.
The PCB has not set a fixed time for Inzamam tenure. a panel that includes former opening batsman Wajahatullah Wasti, Tauseef Ahmed, is leading a spinner off who played 34 Tests and 70 ODIs and off-seam bowling Wasim Haider, who played three ODIs and more than 100 first class and List A match.
"I've played a lot for Pakistan, but it is the first time I have come [as a selector] and the PCB has given me such an important responsibility," Inzamam said. "I want to thank the ACB that allowed me to do national duty. The three selectors must participate in first-class cricket and [have] one fast bowler, a spinner and batsman for us to cover three sectors."
Inzamam's appointment comes following several changes in Pakistan cricket. His former teammate Waqar Younis had resigned as coach on April 4, a day after Shahid Afridi resigned his captaincy T20. This reorganization was the result of a poor 2016 for Pakistan. They lost the T20 and ODI series in New Zealand in January. They lost two of their four matches in T20 Asia Cup in February and the subsequent World T20, lost three of four games. In both tournaments, they could make it beyond the first round.
Performance reports Waqar and Intikhab Alam team manager had made several points regarding the selections. Waqar had recommended that the chief selector "must be someone who has played cricket in the modern era and has a positive vision" and Inzamam had recommended for the job.
Pakistan's next assignment is a complete tour of England - Testing of four, five ODIs and lone T20I - which begins in July. Inzamam warned against expecting an immediate change in performance.
"We must be patient and not expect anything soon. I'll see players first, Inshallah soon see a change. I'm here for the national duty and I will not leave it," he said. "To select a it is a very important thing that has to be done by any cricketer team will try to do my duty. It is the beginning, I do not have a magic wand, it will take time, there will be technical things and others problems that have to do.
"I can not speak for the last selection committee, but you have to make a group of players and guide them and spend time with them. When changes are made, they face problems, but we'll be back on track if we make a group players. "
Inzamam's highest run getter in ODIs Pakistan with 11701 runs in 375 matches, and third highest in tests with 8829 runs in 119 games. He was also among distuinguished captains over the country and as a selector, I wanted to make sure that the captain's "main man" remained.
"I'll try and hope that I will be allowed to work independently," Inzamam said. "My role is different, when was the captain used to give my suggestions. Now, I will listen (captains) too much about what your suggestion. When I was the captain who used to have my say. The captain is the main man. for example, how I used to give my suggestion, I'll give importance to what the captain and the coach will say because they are importing into the ground. "
Pakistan coach Mushtaq Ahmed bowling, which is supported for the World Cup Asia and T20, has assumed the role of coach at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
