Waqar Younis apologizes to Pakistan for W T20 Cup defeats
LAHORE: Head Coach of Pakistan Cricket Team Waqar Yunis in a press briefing today apologized from the nation on the humiliating defeat in World T20 Cup in India.
He said that “I have been working with complete honesty and I cannot reveal the details of my report, that is an in house report,” he added, “It would not be fair to blame one person may that be Waqar, Afridi or Haroon Rasheed”.
Waqar stated that there are issues in the team and we need to resolve the issues that are real. We cannot deny the problems and we have to tackle them practically. He categorically denied commenting on individual players stating that he will not add to the gossips.
He said that everyone has seen how we performed and I don’t know what Chairman is going to decided, I am ready to go home if that is the solution for improvement in Pakistan team.
Yonuis apologized from the whole nation, mothers, sisters in a very humble manner. He said that we cannot continue with cosmetic surgery, proper resolve must be sought.
He said that there is no grouping in the team but Cricket is a game of passion and heroes, “stars” cannot perform on field we need heroes not “stars”.
