Imran Khan lays out three-point solution to reform Pakistan cricket
Former Pakistan skipper and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan outline three-point solution to reform Pakistani cricket.
PTI chief tweeted on Sunday that in order to establish a successful cricket team, the management needs to insulate from political pressure, institute six regional teams, and construct cricket grounds.
Imran alleged that the reason Pakistan cricket has, unlike elsewhere, failed to become an institution due to political meddling in the affairs of cricket.
“We have a PM who has perfected the art of cronyism & appointed an ‘election fixer’ to ‘fix’ Pakistan cricket,” said Imran.
Former skipper proposed that just like in Australia, all talent in Pakistan should be concentrated in six regional teams, sponsored by different departments.
Pakistan crashed out of the World T20 tournament on Friday when they lost to Australia by 21 runs at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
