TOSS UPDATE: West Indies win toss and elect to bowl first.
India perhaps go in with the slight advantage, but both teams are overly reliant on a single player. Virat Kohli for India, and Chris Gayle for West Indies. Interestingly, both Kohli and Gayle play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Indian Premier League (IPL) so each will have some insight into how and what to bowl to the other. Kohli has been in spectacular form so far in the World T20 2016. He was the leading run-scorer of the Super-10 stage till Joe Root went past him in the first semi-final. The two batsmen could face off in the final if India manage to win this match.READ: Virat Kohli’s top 5 T20I chases
India have a better bowling attack and boast of a stronger batting line-up on paper as well. However, their batsmen have not been in great form in this tournament so far, barring Kohli and to an extent MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh. Unfortunately, Yuraj has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament with an injury. Manish Pandey has been named as his replacement. Whether or not Pandey will replace Yuvraj in the line-up remains to be seen. Ajinkya Rahane and Pawan Negi are the other likely options to replace Yuvraj.
