England face New Zealand in the first semifinal of the T20 Cricket World Cup, in a match that will stream live — as will the coin toss, which could prove crucial in determining which side reaches the final of the 2016 tournament. New Zealand has looked unstoppable, winning all four of their group stage matches to enter the semifinals as the only undefeated team in the T20 World Cup.

But in all four of those matches, New Zealand have won the toss and batted first. If they are forced to chase on the unfamiliar, pace-friendly track at Feroz Shah Kotla Cricket Stadium in Delhi, the Black Caps could find the game rough going against an England side that features Ben Stokes, Chris Jordan, Reece Topley, and David Willey in a blistering, four-pronged pace attack.

For New Zealand, however, their world-elite fast bowling duo of Trent Boult and Tim Southee are likely to return to action after New Zealand Captain Kane Williamson favored spinners on the dry, slow pitches his team saw throughout the Super 10 stage.

England also have familiarity with the Delhi pitch in their favor, playing their last two Super 10 stage games at the same venue and winning both, despite suffering scares from Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. But for New Zealand, the Delhi pitch will be their fifth in five games as the Black Caps have been the vagabonds of the 2016 competition — though in truth, the grueling travel schedule does not seem to have slowed them down at all.

The match is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. India Standard Time on Wednesday, March 30, at Feroz Shah Kotla Cricket Stadium in Delhi, India.

For fans in England, the live stream starts at 2:30 p.m., though New Zealand-based fans will need to stay up late, with the semifinal match starting at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 31. United States cricket fans can watch the live stream on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time, 6:30 a.m. Pacific.

The match also features two of the best young cross-format batsmen in the world in New Zealand’s Williamson and Joe Root for England. With each expected to bear the heaviest load for their respective teams in the batting innings, the match could come down to which one of the two fast-rising international stars can turn in the more productive knock.
