Steven O’Keefe, Peter Nevill partnership breaks a cricket record

Australia may have lost the first test against Sri Lanka in Pallekele, but they came out of the game in possession of a set of data, which will be to take no side in a hurry.

Lower order batsmen Steven O' Keefe and Peter Nevill were responsible for the production of officially what some call the most boring partnership in the history of the game.

The pair batted for 155 balls. Without. Scoring. A. lonely. Be carried out.

A walk in 25.4 long, unproductive took over.

The few record effort destroyed the earlier efforts of 13.1 overs (79 balls) without scoring (by a team of England in Madras) of 75 scoreless balls.

The strike in the history of the game smashed O'Keefe and Nevill also the record for the lowest rate. By Keefe hit a boundary by o' only four runs - - 178 balls on a hit rate of. 13 they took the Crown of South Africa's Hashim AMLA and from de Villiers whose 27 of 253 balls against India in the year 2015 runs gave them a hit rate of. 76.
It is wrong, but to insinuate that the long dry spell on the final day was boring, how came at a critical time in the game, play it desperately to hang the pair and defy the Sri Lankans, only hope that bad light or rain would stop than it had during the four previous days of the game.

All directions turned the ball, fielders crowded the bat, appeals rang out and more than once the Australians saved the DRS.

Captain Steve Smith praised the couple's defense.

"I was really proud of the way Peter Nevill and Steven O'Keefe hard, fought to the end, it was not easy, were some balls spin, were some spiders, but it was difficult and they found a way to take in attack."

"If we could run the Steven a couple would it runs also achieved have."

Page 8-161 shortly after noon was and remained so until the end of the game when the tea.

Of course, there was a reason. O'Keefe had torn a hamstring fielding and not wanted to risk damage. At this stage of the game, the Australians knew that the 106 runs were needed to save the game impossible to achieve.
O'Keefe Nevill connected in the middle in the 57th over. He overcame a four in the 63rd, and that was the last result, before partnering with the dismissal of Nevill 154 balls later in the 86th over.
