Tragic Ellesmere parents supporting charity drive with cricket donation

The charity is supported locally by parents of Ellesmere student, Matthew Dewhirst, who died after collapsing while playing rugby in 2012, at the age of 17th

He died of Young Sudden Cardiac Death.

The clothes will be auctioned this weekend in a CRY Charity Ball.

Last month, former Shrewsbury and England cricketer James Taylor was to arrhythmogenic with severe heart disease Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC) diagnosed at the age of 26 forced to retire from his successful cricketing career.

One of the directors of the company, the former Surrey and Gloucestershire cricketer Ian Payne, presented the kit Matthew mother, Sue Dewhirst.

Mr Payne said: "We have a strong bond with the cricket administration England and they are incredibly supportive to give us official ECB goods.
