Cricket-India announce Windies tour to revive ties

India is on a four-game test series West Indies in July-August tour, which will be the resumption of the bilateral relations between them, where the cricket board announced on Saturday.

The relations between the two plates turned sour after a visit to the Caribbean team with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) a protracted labor dispute tour of India drew the 2014 through the middle.

The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) immediately suspended all planned Caribbean tours and demanded nearly $ 42 million compensation from their West Indian counterparts already struggling with a crisis fund and an uprising of the players.

"BCCI is happy to continue its bilateral relations with WICB," BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said in a statement, had confirmed all outstanding issues between the boards, has been solved.

BCCI President Shashank Manohar confirmed in an interview last week that India had dropped the damages.

Dates and venues of the series was not disclosed, but each competition against India means significant television revenue.

"We are very pleased that concerns that have arisen due to the incomplete tour have been fixed and would like to thank the BCCI for our relations revive" WICB President Dave Cameron said in a statement.

"West Indies Cricket appreciates the support of the BCCI and cricket fans of Islands love to look sharp forward some exciting competitions between the two teams to experience."

Leading West Indian players almost pulled out of the World Twenty20 in India over the rumbling row with their board before Darren Sammy and his men went to the tournament in Kolkata win earlier this month. (Section Pritha Sarkar)
